Faith-related accrediting organizations in the US help to define, maintain and promote educational excellence in those institutions providing post-secondary education within the context of spiritual development. There are several faith-related accrediting organizations in the US, and these have slight differences in mandate. Some accredit schools of a particular faith (i.e., Christian or Jewish), others may focus on different levels of education (undergraduate or graduate), and their accreditation may apply to schools as a whole as well as to individual programs.
